10 Reasons This Weekend was Awesome

1. I made it home on Friday in time to go to yoga - haven't done that in a few weeks. Such a great way to end the week / kickoff the weekend.

2. C & I effectively made three dinners tonight - got ourselves set for the week! A big pot of spaghetti sauce (this recipe is amazing - did it stove-top instead of crock pot, and it's still perfect), beef stew in the crock pot ready to turn on tomorrow morning before work, and a quick 30-minute meal that is becoming one of our favorite go-to dinners.

3. I finally upgraded my operating system on my laptop - from Leopard to Snow Leopard, for you Mac people. I was only, ohhhh, three versions behind. Still not current, but making progress!

4. Chipotle for lunch today.

5. This morning, while we were still in bed, the cat hopped up (like he does every morning) and sniffed around the covers. He came up between C & I, and the covers were making a little cave where there was space between us. Mac proceeded to crawl 2/3 of his body into that dark space and then sneeze on us. Scared himself and backed out before running away. Typical.

6. We went to Target today to get a few things, and remembered that we had a $20 gift card. Total: $20.86. Yeah buddy! Who goes to Target and spends less than a dollar?! Ever?! We did.

7. My parents & uncle came over for dinner last night, and my mom brought everything for dinner, so I offered to make dessert. I opted for some old-fashioned "Googling" and did something crazy: opened a cookbook, flipped to the "desserts" section, and picked one. Betty Crocker for the win, y'all. Warm Chocolate Snack Cake with vanilla ice cream was bangin'.

8. Before my uncle left to go back to Charlottesville this morning, we had a little Starbucks date, during which I redeemed my free birthday treat. Venti Skinny Caramel Macchiato, fo' free, you are the best.

9. HOCKEY IS BACK! There is offically a (partial) season. I'm mad about the lockout, but glad my favorite sport is back.

10. Finishing the weekend by sitting on the couch in my sweatpants, watching the Golden Globes - oogling dresses and laughing my butt off at Amy and Tina. So great!
