Five for Friday the 13th

Happy Friday the 13th! Are any of y'all superstitious about stuff like that? I'm really not. I probably wouldn't even notice that it was today if it weren't for other people pointing it out... it just doesn't phase me!

It's been a strange week, with two days working from home in the beginning of the week, and a lot of work crammed into a couple of days in the office after that. Plus, with the holidays looming, it's always a bit hectic in the office this time of year anyway, while people scramble to get things done before all the fun starts!

Did you see my post from yesterday?? If not, click on over and see what's going on in these parts of the inter-webs. This could be just the moment you've been waiting for!

Being that it's Friday, it's time for another round of Five on Friday! I haven't done one in a while, but this is always one of my favorite kinds of posts. Check out what's going on in my world!

Friday Five 121313

1 // C's company holiday party was this past weekend and it was such a blast! We got all dressed up and enjoyed a great night with his co-workers. He even won an awesome raffle prize: a $500 gift card for Southwest Airlines! We're going on a triiiippppppp (someday, somewhere! TBD)!

2 // This is probably weird, but this is one of my favorite, easy lunches - a pickle and string cheese, wrapped up in turkey lunch meat. Quick and easy to throw together on a morning when we don't have leftovers in the fridge - I love my little roll-ups!

3 // As an early Christmas present, my parents got tickets for the family to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra perform at the Verizon Center. What an amazing show!! I love their Christmas music, but had never seen the production before. It was awe-inspiring. Great music, incredible lights show, and lots of fun. We had such a good time, and really enjoyed the family outing.

4 // You know you're an adult when.... industrial shelving gets you excited. I've been looking for a way to utilize the space in our little laundry room a bit better, and finally found the perfect shelves at Home Depot. C put them together for me, and I finally have some place to store some of the random things that I don't want to keep in the garage. I may need several more sets like this one!

5 // I'm not sure if it's the colder weather or what, but the little dude has been super cuddly lately. He just wants to be where I am! Even if it's not the most comfortable thing in the world. The other night, he made himself cozy in a little ball on my kneecap. Don't worry, I didn't need to use that or anything...

Tomorrow is Christmas Cookie Day! My mom and sister are coming over, and we're going to bake 3495 cookies. I can't wait! What are you looking forward to this weekend??

Trans-Siberian Orchestra was AMAZING! This is supposed to be their last year of touring (which is why my mom really wanted to go), but then, throughout the show, the guy was talking about "next time we're here..." so I have no idea if they are done or not. I hope not, because I'd definitely see them again!

Don't hate on my pickle sandwich :) C hates pickles, though, and is totally grossed out that I eat them. HA!
