Five for Friday: in case you need a giggle

This week has been so quick and yet feels like it lasted a year... I can't believe that Monday was St. Patrick's Day! That seems like so long ago. Weird how time is like that, right?

It's been awhile since I did a Five for Friday post - I've got quite a random assortment of things for today!

1 // It was absolutely gorgeous last Saturday, and we grilled chicken and steak kebabs and celebrated with what has become our St. Patrick's Day tradition: Black and Tans! For those who don't know, a Black and Tan is a drink with light and dark beer, poured specially so that the dark beer sits on top of the light beer. We use Guinness and Bass, and it is the only time of year that I drink either of those things. Hey, when in Rome Ireland (or just thinking of it...)

2 // So Saturday was a perfect spring day... and Monday we woke up to 8" of snow. This is definitely not a picture I expected to take in mid-March! Go away, winter...

3 // Signs you live in a preserved historic area: the other day, on the way to the library, I found myself stuck behind a horse-drawn carriage. True story. I felt a smidge like I'd been time-traveling.

4 // Someone has decided that the garage door is the way to Narnia - or something. He just keeps sitting in front of it and crying... so awkward. One night this week, we noticed that we hadn't seen the cat in a while, and C went searching for him. He eventually noticed that the garage door was open just slightly. It apparently hadn't latched when we came through the last time, and Mac had taken himself out for an adventure. We got him back in the house and scolded him, and he promptly curled up in my lap looking sad. What a PITA.

5 // Speaking of cats... this remains one of the funniest things I have ever come across on the internet. I giggle every single time I see it. It doesn't help that my cat looks a lot like that one, and makes the same face when he gets worked up. Hilarious.

Happy Friday!!

So over the snow!

That's too funny about the horse drawn carriage. I can't remember the last time I've seen one of those!

I think all cats make the same face. And it's possible he smells a female cat in heat.
