currently // august

reading // Night Film by Marisha Pessl. I am totally hooked. Has anyone else read it? I am about 150 pages in, and really enjoying the way it's written - there are "artifacts" mixed in, like webpages and newspaper clippings. Something a little different!

enjoying // I picked up this new-to-me coffee creamer in Target this other day and I'm totally loving it. It's the little things each day!

photographing // the cat-baby, per usual. I was working at our desk the other afternoon and turned around to find him perched in this laundry basket, perfectly content to sit in the silence with me. He's a weird one.

feeling // honestly, a bit worn down. July was a super-busy month for us, and August has not proved to be much better. I am loving all the time we are having with family and friends, and definitely enjoying all the outings and adventures, but this homebody is reaching a breaking point. As you can see from my August calendar, there's something going on constantly. I'm planning some no-plans weekends for September, that's for sure!

listening // the CMA music festival was on TV last night, and I'm currently re-playing it just to listen to all the performances again. Such great music! All my faves, all together. Anyone else catch the show? I'd love to go to the live event some day!

linking up with Anne and Jenna for currently - a monthly link up.

August = Tech football. Ergo, it will be better than July.

Stopping by from the link-up! I feel you on the worn-down and busy thing. July was super packed for us and I THOUGHT this month was going to be different, but our calendar is filling up too! I definitely need to pencil in some downtime before it's too late!!

I haven't heard of this book but definitely will have to check it out! And I know those homebody feelings... August is a little crazy for us too, which is why I actually look forward to the "back to school" of September even though nobody in my house goes to school. Somehow September just seems calmer. Hope it is for you. And thanks for linking up!

Hi Lindsay! Found your blog through the link up today. My cat finds the most random places to hang out also. His favorite is always in a suitcase! And I agree the CMA's were great!

Mmmm, i love a good creamer! My favorite is from Kroger. It's caramel vanilla and it's so yummy! I'm going to keep on the look out at target for the salted caramel. Yum!
Thanks for linking up!!
