The view from atop the mountain while visiting Monticello
cooking: I haven't been making much lately - thank goodness for a husband who cooks and a the crock-pot! I did make an awesome dinner last night, though: meatloaf (a good one, not a blah one), mashed potatoes, and roasted broccoli. Totally hit the spot!

planning: Thanksgiving! We are hosting a very low-key event this year - I pretty much said, I'm not leaving the house, and anyone who wants to is welcome to come over. We are going to end up with a good-sized group of family members, and my mom and C are going to do the cooking. It's time to start thinking menus!

smelling: "Flannel" and "Pumpkin Pie" from Bath & Body Works - currently burning all day, every day, in our house!

appreciating: my healthy and relatively-easy pregnancy. It is cumbersome and I feel like a hippo most days, but there is nothing truly wrong. I have several friends who have not been so lucky during pregnancy, and so I am grateful for nothing to complain about!

anticipating: the holidays! Halloween - Christmas / my birthday is always my favorite time of year, and this year there is an obvious added layer of excitement because somewhere towards the end of that we will get a baby, too!

I second the feeling-like-a-hippo comment. Right there with ya. :-)
I'm loving the "Leaves" candle scent from B&BW.
Super excited for my daugther's 2nd bday on 11/18 and then TG the next week!

Yes to crock pot cooking! And so fun that in all of the holiday anticipation you also get to mix in baby anticipation - that will make it an extra special time of year for sure.

I use my crock pot all the time! You'll find yourself using it much more after the baby comes too. It's so easy to throw something in during morning nap and not have to think about it all day :)

BTW - now I'm curios what Flannel smells like!?

My husband lovvvves crockpot meals, too, and luckily he works from home so it's so easy for him to just put it on and by the time I get home it's ready to eat! So convenient! What are some of your favorite crock pot recipes?
